Classic Modern Dance – the technique and repertory of Isadora Duncan, the original release technique, infused with ballet, Cunningham and Chinese movement forms, enhances other dance forms and offers a healthy approach which can prolong the dancing life.
Using breath in articulating the torso also opens the heart chakra. Stability in the hips allows for greater freedom of movement. The natural use of arms and legs using gravity and resistance in space improves the expression and strength.
Expert Duncan practitioners teach intermediate to advanced level students ages 16-25 though all are welcome.
Students often perform in the productions of Dances by Isadora and Moving Visions Dancers.
